These cards (Allen & Ginter Pirates of the Spanish Main) are on fire! Some dude sold an entire ungraded set recently and did very well. A few collectors could care less about price. Mid grade commons went for between $60-130, ones with back damage went for over $50!
I put in about 30 snipes, about 6 of them were wayyy over what I should've; didn't get a single one.

Conversely, if you have some you're thinking about selling, now might be the time.

I agree. I was following those auctions on eBay. I could not believe the closing price on the auctions. They must be the flavor of the month.
