  • OMG you actually put an ivy league team up there? Do half of these even count!? when football was at an all time low! No one cares if you win a title 50 or so years ago. The athletes are way more advanced these days. The game has changed....If THIS YEARS nole team went up against any of those teams..it would atleast be a 3 TD Blow out. If it was the 93 or 99 title teams. It wouldn't even be a contest.

  • I did not "put" anything in there... I simply pasted
the FACTS from the list of National Championships
since they have been given out. (check the link in my
    orignal post)

You seem to forget that FSU
    A) used to be an all girl school
    and
    B) for Years, was the perinial "homecoming game" team
for most of the country until they managed to finally
    build a program.

Don't go acting like they have always
    been a major player.

  • BKAH,

Please cut Skippy some slack - he's pretty smart on football for being 15 years old
  • ha..noclass give it a rest.
Sure FSU wasn't always a powerhouse. But how can you say a national title by a team like yale has any merit? do they even recruit football? LOL

Oh god now you're making excuses skip?

Jeez the level of playing was the SAME across all schools 50 years ago...just like in every other sport.

So you are saying that Babe Ruth's records shouldn't count?

skip better prepare for the downhill slide after the
"Bowden era" comes to an end... and will soon.

    everything levels out.
    Ask Nebraska,
    Ask Florida,
    Ask Notre Dame,
    Ask Alabama,
    etc.

I remember going to the Sugar bowl in 89, the last time Auburn won the SEC, they got taken behind the
wood shed by a young FSU team. Lets see... you all win your conference every 15 years and we have
2 national titles in that stretch!

Of course that is assuming you win your next two.

    guess you forget the
times we kicked FSU ass too?
    (kinda like Florida did tonight!)

and you are right we have not won the SEC
    since 89,
but we play in a REAL conference

now that you are getting some real teams in the ACC
lets see how many you win... starting with NOT getting
    this years!
