I heard that Bass had a fair to middlin' pile of coins.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Thanks, but the thrill is in the hunt for old catalogs. I was sniped last night for the four volume set by $1. I already have the Bass III and do not need the Bass I (patterns and currency).
I am really excited. So excited that I am not going to buy another coin until...until...until...tomorrow, at the earliest.

I am glad to see that a forum member (mr commem) was able to pick up these "classic" gold coins books.
You should get Bass I for completeness. Besides, it's a very scholarly catalog.

Try this link or PM board member Preturb or contact Orville Grady. All are excellent auction catalog resources.
Unfortunately, I do not have any of the Pittman catalogs in stock. They are very tough to find!
