    Copy the URL.
Click http button at top of Message Text: box.
Click inside of text box that pops up.
    Shift-Ins pastes the link.

While looking at the auction listing, right click on the address and copy it.
Go to the reply window and click HTTP. Right click new box and click past.
The next box that pops up lets you name the link.image

Its a good idea to be signed out when you link a site like eBay.

But.....make sure you delete the "http:" that is already in the box or it won't work.

    You are right.

I looked at the URL when I was signed in and when I was signed off.
They are different. Thanks. It's good to learn thisimage

I never knew you could paste with shift-ins, I've always used ctrl-V

  • When the Link box opens the http:// is aready highlighted, so if you just press ctrl-V the link stored on the clipboard automaticly replaces the http://. If you click on the line in the box first the http:// can lose the highlighting and then when you paste you can get a link that has http://http:// at the beginning and that won't work.

Also make sure you don't click the https button at the top of the reply box by mistake. If you do and put in an http:// address the link won't work.
