Can Franklin people explain this one?

$80 for an NGC 58 1950-D Frankie? This is nearly 64FBL money and it's not that much nicer than one I bought for about $15 a couple months ago. You'd have to crack this out and make 64FBL or 65 to justify this kind of money...

  • Does PCGS grade AU-58 Frankies FBL? If so, the person may have thought he could crack it out and submit it.

Now if it were a looker like this... well - you might have to pay a little extra image

Sometimes you simply have to over pay to get a coin to finish a set. Maybe that's what happened here. I know I have paid too much on more than one occation.

The Buyer must have misgraded that coin and thought it would go MS64 + if resubmitted. The coin is super clean for a 1950-D, but it does show AU58 wear. Almost all 1950-D MS Franklins are FBL unless they have bag marks disrupting the bell lines.
