PSA/DNA question

I just purchased an 8X10 auto Martin Brodeur certified by PSA/DNA.
It has the affixed PSA/DNA sticker and serial # on the photo and I have the
COA card with the same serial #. My question is, how accurate are
they as I'm not really pleased with the autograph as it doesn't look
like his signature that I'm accustomed to. Looks like Joe Blow
signed it. I didn't ask the seller whether he got it himself and submitted it
or if he purchased it from somewhere else. I just figured if it's PSA/DNA
then it's A-OK. Anybody know the percentage of mistakes? IMO, this is
not the player's signature.

If you have time, would you scan the item and post it?

  • I'll post a scan tonight. I'm still at work.

The auto is a bit hard to see since it's in black sharpie signed across the black pad. The "M" starts on the letter "E" of the word Heaton on the pad. The "M" may be okay....maybe 75%; but it's the rest of the junk after that. Here's a good reference for comparison from this auto puck authenticated by Steiner (they're top notch) in this auction. What it should look like. Here's another certified auto from a pack.

Tell me what you think. My photo looks nothing close to the 2 other samples. I don't know anything about pen flow, breakage, or whatever they use to determine signatures. I think this may be the first and last PSA/DNA I purchase after seeing the link to the thread Perry posted on top. I'm sticking with Mounted Memories and Steiner from now on.
