How is it possible that Adrian Peterson, the running back for Oklahoma, is leading the Heismann race and yet Mike Hart
from Michigan isn't even on the list?
Peterson
SEASON RECORD ATT YDS AVG TD REC YDS AVG TD
2004 10-0 254 1431 5.6 9 3 6 2.0 0
Hart
SEASON RECORD ATT YDS AVG TD REC YDS AVG TD
2004 9-1 243 1311 5.4 8 24 194 8.1 1
Hart, being a freshman, barely played in the first 2 games of the season otherwise he would have more yards than Peterson.
Hart is obviously the better receiver and has comparable rushing numbers.
So what gives? Hart is just as valuable to his team. How come no one is showing him any love?

Darrin Sproles - K-State
How is it possible that the Heisman can be presented to a QB who had more interceptions than touchdowns?
Eric Crouch - Nebraska - 2001
How is it possible that the Heismann winner in 2003 looked miserable in the Big 12 championship, and the Bowl game?
Jason White - Oklahoma
The Heisman is the most overrated award today. Most of the ballots are IN before ANY of the championship OR bowl games are played. It's all media driven, more than any other award out there.
In short, the heisman sucks - as does the BCS.
Just my opinion
