1974 Deckle Edge shocker

I noticed that a 1974 Deckle Edge Yastrzemski PSA 9 went for $3,069 (inc. 15% buyer's fee) in the Mile High auction. SMR is $500, same as a PSA 9 Bench. Now I don't feel so foolish for paying $1,200 for the PSA 10 Bench awhile back.

This may be an extreme example, but on many scarce issues SMR is so disconnected from the marketplace that it isn't very useful even as a guide.

I'm suprised the Yaz went that low.

There are two millionaire Yaz collectors that really
go after a card they need.

If you have any high grade 1/1 Yaz cards, I can
hook you up with the buyers.

I guess I'm fortunate there are no millionaires near the top of the Bench Master registry (that I know of). or my collection would be a lot smaller.
