Odd looking MM on Roosevelt

Does this and rpm? The location of the mm caught my eye and on closer look could be rpm. A dime in cello from the mint for compaison. Seems the cello is causing a doubling effect on the mint dime.

    The first pic you posted looks like die deterioration. They used these dies till they broke. Here is an 88 thats ready to go.
