Sometimes it's fun to purchase coin related medals/tokens/foreign without really knowing what the heck they are. This item fits that bill. I just liked it!

This is probably a remainder, the sort of thing you could walk into an award shop in 1922 and have engraved for the spelling bee, decathlon, or turnip-growing competition. I haven't seen this particular variety before, but there are dozens and dozens of different types.

I just think it's high the coolness factor (and, wasn't too expensive).
