    This line was interesting:
<<and because this coin is encapsulated in an intercept shield slab it is gauranteed by PCGS>>
I thought that was ICG.... *End Sarcasm Alert*
  • Geez!! Don't these people research??? image
  • Sent him this question.

You say this is the strongly doubled 1972 Doubled die but the slab says that it is FS-33.53 which is one of the weakly doubled varieties. Your picture isn't clear enough to see the doubling so which is it? The strongly doubled die 1 (which is what you have quoted prices for) or the weaker die 3 which is what FS-33.53 is and what the slab says?

Got an answer back. . . what a weasel.

    << <i>What am saying is that it is a strongl double1972 for being a FS-33.53 >>

    Next question

Then why are you quoting the values for a 1972 die 1 doubled die which is worth a LOT more than the die 3?

Got the answer back, I don't think they like me.

<< <i>this coin is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay
I state that it is worth what ever $ 5000.00 to someone else
no one can place a $ on something its just a guide >>

Another oddity. At 23:17:09 Maxiboy bid $300.00 but wasn't high bidder. Twelve second later he bid again $310.00 which apparently made him the high bidder. Thirteen minutes later he retracted the bid claiming wrong amount. (I assume he was high bidder because if he wasn't, why retract the bid? It would have already been outbid. if he was high bid though, he now nows the other guys max bid or he has forced the other guy to pay his max bid.)
  • I also contacted him earlier and pointed out the descripencys in his auction. He basically told me to get a life so I contacted E-bay. There were 6 hours left in the auction when I contacted them. Lets see if they are any good. Joe
  • Here's the response i got this morning:

    << <i>Hello
    there is no misleading
this coin is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay
I state that it is worth what ever $ 5000.00 to someone else
no one can place a $ on something its just a guide >>

Obviously a rip off seller image

Geez, If my holders are not in intercept shield slab, PCGS does not gaurantee my coins.

  • Seems they've settled on a single incoherent answer.
  • Latest response from the seller:

<< <i>First off let me say that you should not get involved with other peoples lives or business.
this is why things happen that should not
I am going to explain this to you one last time my intentions are not to rip people off.YOU GET IT
if you look at all of the other coins up for sale they all project a price theory
that is what has been done here.
you state that the item I have is worth $ 30.00 that is your opinion many people will pay much more and has nothing to do about ripping them off.its what they want to pay for an item
go to the following and you can see item 3940900052

    1963 FRANKLIN HALF~PR69 DEEP CAMEO~$10,000~NR
if you don't leave me alone I will contact E-Bay harassing me and file a law suit against you. >>

  • He probly thinks we are all the same
person. Someone should send him a
    link to this thread.
  • I was'nt sure what was wrong with the auction until I read condors post. image

    Thanx for the enlightenment.

Sounds like his answer to Camaro is a thinly disguised threat. I would think such a response would be of interest to E-bay.
