Psst ... I Know Marty's Secret For Finding His Gems ...

I've seen him action, and it is simplay amazing.

He enters the bourse, his ears perk up, and his eyes open just a bit wider ... he looks around, then boom he heads straight to the table with the best "Marty Gems".

There coins are in the dealer's case, but Marty knows the coins he's seeking are not in the case. He asks "Have anything interesting that is not in the case?" Most dealers just give in and pull the stuff from behind the and immediately sell it to Marty.

Sometimes the dealer trys to holdout and Says "No, all the good stuff in the case." Marty just looks at them dumbfounded, laughs, and says What about those crappy proof sets you have back there .... In the end he gets them all the gems ... no dealer or collector stands a chance. Alll he leaves behind are scraps too small for even a mouse.

So how does he do it? ... how does he know? ... It's a phenomenon, he's just has a sixth sense .. he is afterall a wizard.image

  • That's not quite what I saw at a recent show. I was talking to 2 Moderns dealers and all of sudden they ran towards the bourse entrance. Like ten dealers were crowded around one guy. I heard one talking about "Big Sucker" just got here. I wonder who they were talking about and what they meant?image

The truth is, he buys $1000 of so called, "unopened sets" and finds $100 worth of coins!

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

I know one thing: Those finds don't just fall into your lap. It takes hard work and determination. I just don't have the stamina to look through all of those sets.

Marty just has to split the finds with me.

I still keep trying to to stay ahead of him, but the ferret still works his magic.
