stman: Yes that was me...That would be my 1824/4.. I have been looking at new cameras trying to decide on one. My current camera doesn't allow me to get the quality close ups I'm after. It wont be long though.I'll get the pic up.

OnlyBuffalos: Dusky gray, charcoal, and soft rose patina that is several shades deeper on the reverse than the obverse.

I liked that look of that 1822 also and seriously considered bidding on her. Nice and original, none of that typical rub, and a date that's a bit out of ordinary. Nice buy. The NGC MS66 of this same date in the same sale brought about $3700 more...but it also had some obvious rub imo and didn't seem to be all that much different than the PCGS MS65.
