I was skimming through the Beckett set registry and noticed that their player sets were a lot larger than PSA's. I guess this is due to their checklists being drawn from their price guide, while PSA's sets are limited to those cards they've actually graded. But look at the master players sets. Nolan Ryan is up to 4226 cards (probably including post-career cards), compared with 543 in the PSA set. Randy Moss is gaining with 3057 cards versus 476 with PSA. Even Ben Roethlisberger has 303 cards already in the BGS registry. BGS does not actually show the checklist, though I guess you can do a lookup on a player in their OPG and get the list there. I do like how BGS includes the sub-grades on the cards registered, but the lack of a complete checklist on the company sets is kind of frustrating.
What else is annoying is I started looking at it because of an email newsletter I got highlighting a set (2003 Playoff Contenders) but it's not even in the registry.
