Recent crossover results and my first PSA 10

First off, hats off to PSA for grading my order in 3 days!

I recently submitted 14 cards to PSA for the $5 special. I included 5 crackouts:

2000 SP Authentic Brian Urlacher RC - graded BGS 8.5 --- PSA 6!
1981 Topps Art Monk RC - graded SGC 96 (9) --- PSA 9
2001 SP Authentic Mark Prior RC - graded GAI 9 --- PSA 8
1988 Topps Tiffany Robin Ventura RC - graded SGC 92 --- PSA 5!
1977 Topps Andre Dawson RC - graded SGC 88 --- PSA 8

I have no idea what happened with the two that somehow went from nm-mt+ to ex/ex-mt. The cards were not damaged removing them from the holders, who knows?
I'm mostly dissapointed in the Ventura, I really just would have been happy to see it in an 8 holder, but a 5?

Other highlights from this order include a 1983 Topps Ryne Sandberg RC -- PSA 10. My first raw card submission PSA 10!
Other weirdness, I had a couple 1985 Topps Football that all came from a wax box I just bought. They all got 9s except a Marino that got rejected for trimming!

Most people say 5s and 6s on apparently nice cards are the results of tiny surface wrinkles that are easy to miss (and easy for PSA to find, apparently). For an SP Authentic card to get a 6, though, I don't know. The stiff white cardstock is usually very nice and uniformly clean.
    WANTED:
2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

    Nothing on ebay

Congratulations on the Sandberg. Just curious - how did you acquire it?

Sorry about the two downgrades - did you send the cards by Registered mail?

The Sandberg was bought raw off ebay a couple years ago, believe it or not. I wish I remember who I bought it from.

I always ship to PSA registered. The cards are in Card Savers, sandwiched with cardboard, wrapped in bubble wrap, placed into a PSA box and filled with packing peanuts. I don't think the cards were damaged in shipping, but you never know. The Urlacher was the first card in the stack, but the Ventura wasn't.

It's always nice when you can find an early to mid 80's star rookie card on ebay that will grade gem mint. I found two in one week last december and haven't found one since, lol.

I'm impressed at the 3 day job. I'm sending off over 200+ in a week for the November special. Hope I get it back that fast but doubtful.
    Nice job on the Sandberg!
