Thomas Jefferson Medals

I have finally got around to photgraphing my collection of Thomas Jefferson Medals. I have about 10 more to do but after 150ish
pictures I got tired. I also revamped my web page to display these items. I have a long way to go to get all the descriptions in but
would like to share the page with you none the less. Because of the amount of medals I have created a numbering system that is pretty basic and should come in handy to reference the coins. Please give it time to load but it doesn't seem too bad with a broadband connection. Comments welcomed. Enjoy!

Very nice. I've never seen a few of those. There are 5 major varieties of the Cracker Jack medal
and 3 minor ones of the Shell token. The Charms coins are almost always damaged.

That is one very nice collection. Is there any special reason that you think so highly of Thomas Jefferson?

Thanks Mark. You know, I just ended up with a couple of them one time and since I am an avid Jefferson nickel collector I thought to my self that it would be kinda neat to see how many medals there were out there that commemerated TJ. After I did a little research I couldn't come up with much so I just decided to start buying as many as I could off eBay and creating my own reference. I have learned alot of history about Lewis and Clark, TJ, and medals in general by assembling the collection. I guess you could say that I am a bit anal about collecting things as I'm just one of those people that "have to have every one". It has taken me a little less than a year to obtain the ones I have and I will continue to collect them for about another year. After I have all my reference material put together and photos done for the site I will sell the entire collection in one lot.

    Thanks for your interest.

It is really neat that Jefferson nickels aroused your interest in all things Jefferson. You should think seriously about exhibiting your collection at some of the big coin shows, eg, FUN, ANA, Long Beach, or whatever show(s) you go to. I believe that lots of people would find your collection fascinating.
