This is one of the largest brass medals I've ever collected, 41mm in size. I like these odd ones that show life going on in the midst of war and misery. Sort of like a Jane Austen novel! 
Catalogs as BHM (British Historical Medals) #695 where it is listed as rare. Certainly the first I've ever seen. It was apparently common for this piece to be worn.
