I recently came into possession of a Buffalo/Indian head nickel during one of my many shopping trips. I had never seen one before, as I'm only 29 years old and have never even heard of them either.
I mentioned it in passing to my step father and he seems to think that the coin is rare and therefore, of value.
Is he right? And if so, how would I know? I still have the coin in my possession and if it is of value, where or who can I sell it to?
I have noticed something weird about the coin however. On one side is a buffalo with 4 legs. The other side is an Indian's head. The weird thing I've noticed though is...most coins have dates on them. This coin does not. I find that to be very weird.
Please, can anyone can help me with riddle?
Thanks.

Low grade Buffalo nickels, such as those that are so worn that the date does not show, have little numismatic value.
Thanks,
