What's a good year, for quality of strike, for silver Washington quarters?

I've never really heard this discussed, although it must have been talked about here.

get a 1936 philly. well struck, common yet still an early date.

oddly enough, 1935 philly coins tend to be awful.

1932 is the best. High wire rims. That was the year they thought it would be a commem.

Seems to me that 1947 is a good year for strike. JMO.

There are some outstanding 1936 WQs out there. Also, oddly enough, there are a fair number of truly nice 1935 WQs, as well as some mushy coins. Overall, I think the 1947-S comes with a terrific look in terms of strike and luster combination.

The 1932 was struck using a different hub from the rest of the series, save for the 1934 Light Motto coins, so while an individual 1932 might be struck well, it will look quite different. The coins appear to be much more shallow.
