PSA Submission template

Hi all,

I just wanted to share a simple spreadsheet I put together to input the required information on cards being submitted to PSA. On my latest submission, I filled out the submission form and wrote "See attached" in the main area - and simply attached a print out of the excel spreadsheet (completed of course). I found this much easier to fill out - especially for a large order.

Someone may have already created one, but attached is my copy.

Regards,

Greg M.

another option is to edit the html code to add as many lines as you have cards. it's pretty easy and makes the sub much neater. have also gone the excel route which worked great also

greg, get a submission form and save it . then in your toolbar, click view -> source , the code will come up (it may be blank at the top but scroll down and you will see it. if you scroll through it , you will see a section where the code is repeated with the only change being the # growing from 1 to 25. copy and paste the block of code after 25 and change the line # until you have enough lines for all of your cards. save it and then resave your sub form. you can also enter all your cards and save it so that you have an electronic copy and just print it out. I am pretty sure you change the rest around to if you work with the code a little to make the layout of the sub form easier to work with in terms of spacing. good luck

    pack...

I'm trying what you suggested. I can copy the lines of code after #25 okay, but I can't paste from my clipboard to the sheet. "Paste" is grayed out.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!

never mind...I figured it out. (I forgot to start by using the "Edit Page" command.)

    Thanks!
  • Since you guys are talking computer stuff, I thought I would ask you guys. When editing my registry descriptions, I want to put a line space between paragraphs. How is this done? I know that <b> is bold. There must be one for a line space?

    Thanks,

    Glen

Glen, "BR" inside <> will do the trick.

    JEB.

  • LOL. Looks like the line break disappeared.

Glen, putting "br" inside the <> brackets is HTML for a line BReak, or you can put "p" inside the <> brackets to start a new Paragraph (looks like a double line break).

  • Of course, I have suggested to PSA that they should have an option on the electronic form to select how many cards you will be submitting (and the electronic form would add that many more lines).
It wouldn't take much work at all on the part of their programmers, and would make our life a lot easier, and probably theirs too so they wouldn't have the people that "hand write" a form for more than 20 or 25 cards (whichever the form has now).

    just my 2cents

    Pack Collector:

I cannot get the file to save the data that I have added to the form (such as sport, year, name, etc.). Is there a way the form must be saved in order to capture the data that is added?

    Thanks,

    John

I think you need to "save as " to your computer , then close it and open up the file from your harddrive that you just saved. in the address line it should be C://........ I am not a computer or html wiz. I just worked with it and eventually got everything I wanted and saved it. maybe some of the computer guys can help out better

I just tried this out, changing the HTML code. That is sweet! I followed your directions exactly and it worked beautifully. Thanks for the info.
  • I actually then mail merge into avery labels from my exel with the sub number, and all the line numbers auto populate, print onto the labels. I just peel and stick. I do it for 25 cards subs too it is easy.
