    I always thought Wannstedt was a poor coach(even when the Dolphins were winning). The only reason he won was because of Rickey. A good running back can really help an average quaterback. With Rickey gone, it really shows how bad Jay Fiedler really is. There answer is not A.J. Feeley. At least they have a solid "D". They will need a ton of offensive help. Chris Chambers is a good receiver,but he needs someone to get him the ball!

    He was winning before ricky got there....and to blame the problems of that team on the coach is ridiculous.

    If he was winning before Rickey got there,then how come he couldn't when he left?

    Cause Ricky left the team a week before the team was to report for camp...their #1 receiver, Boston, is out for the season before it even began.

    I'd like to see anyone in this league win with their #1 RB and #1 WR gone for the season.

    Wannstedt is the scapegoat of a franchise that he never could live up to expectations for. I bet he's 10000 times happier that he doesn't have to deal with the ridiculous media and fans of that franchise unfairly blaming him for this season.

    I agree with Axtell on this one. One of the reasons Ricky wanted out was because of that Horrendous offensive line. I wont say Wandsteht was a top tier coach but that team is just plain bad. Marty Booker is a good reciever and those QB's cant seem to get him the ball. I cant believe anyone could blame him for wanting out.

    Well I do not agree with Axtell -

    1st - Wanstedt ran off Marino because he had this other QB that could run the offense he wanted - that was wrong
    2nd - We could have had Drew Brees the next year in the draft but we passed on him and took Jamal Fletcher because Jay Fiedler was the right choice - wrong again
    3rd - in 2002 we could have made the playoffs if he would have used Rickey Williams in the last two minutes of the game against the Pats - wrong again
    4th - the Fins have gotten worse every year under Wandstedt - PERIOD!

    The guy might be a great defensive coordinator but he sucks as a head coach!

    Axtell, the team is bad, but the stat in particular that's damning is the Dolphins are outscored 68-3 in the 3rd Q. I would interpret that of not making the necessary adjustments at half-time.
