Does anyone know how to remove haze from 1950's era lincoln proofs?

Coolkarma posted pics of two 1950 proof lincolns on the PCGS Registry Forum. One has haze on it and probaly prevented it from receiving a CAM designation.

I have a couple of 1950's era proof lincolns with haze on them. Does anyone know if this type of haze can be removed without runing the coin? If so, how is it done?

I dont know that it can be done. Maybe try NCS?

Apparently, a product called goo gone woks well. I have not tried it on proofs but others have, look up past threads for more details.

Use Goo-Gone. Apply a liberal amount to the coin and your fingure (wash hands first...and run water over coin first to remove any abrasive dust particles) Then massage in the GG to the coin for about 1 minute. Rinse coin and pat dry.
