Somebody snatch this up...

It doesn't really have a place in my collection at the moment but it's a masterfully done medal. One of you may really love this one.

  • Looks like they upped their bid because of me... who is cathy again?
  • Stork is Cathy. She delivers babies, so she's very fond of these designs. image

It's not only very nice, it's quite rare as well. I've also wished her good luck ... and I hope she put enough into it as it's real sniper-bait. I've told her if she gets outbid, I may go for it myself (given adequate time to respond).

I was chicken and raised my bid twice, someday I may learn to snipe, but in this case I got a pretty lucky buy!

Lassere is one of those very talented but rarely seen artists. As luck would have it, her main competition was a dealer hoping to get it cheap. That's one of the things you never know about with medals on eBay. With scarce material, most potential bidders will only look at how attractive it is -- and this one was. Frankly, on appearance alone, it should normally have gone for a price in the higher $40s at least. My own bid would have been at least 2-1/2 times what it went for. Also, sometimes auctions that end mid-day don't get the attention because bidders are at work and don't always have time at the right time or else forget about it.

If that medal doesn't do much for me I guess I should just keep my mouth shut and not say "that medal doesn't do much for me," but how would that build postcount?image

Actually, it looks very intimidating, as in "don't even try to outbid me" and you keep the price low this way. image

No need to learn, because you can't beat Auctionsniper. They do everything for you for a symbolical fee if you consider the stress they take away from you and the high chances of winning, just remember to tell them who sent you to them, we'll both get three free snipes. image

You mean, so when I am busy reading these messages and I forget about an auction, like right now? I just lucked out again on another one while I was busy over here. Maybe I should look into that program...
