New 1939 5c PCGS PR66 - Opinions Sought

Hi All,
here is another Jefferson for my new collection. I know you all (in the US Forum) disliked my 1941 undipped PR65 (visible in 5c link below - it contains even more pastels and color than the scan indicates), so - what do you guys/gals think of this 1939 PCGS PR66? I am trying to focus on undipped 5c. Thanks image

Best,
Billy

    Billy,

Again I like the toned Jeffersons. The reverse looks great. As time goes on, I seem to appreciate a wider range of coin conditions.

  • It looks fully original to me, and I'll bet it shows nice color as you tilt
    it in the light.

Carbon spots, which seem to be a problem on many toned Jeffs, bug
the heck out of me - this one looks to be free of any such detractions.

    Nice coin! image

  • Very nice. In the end, all that matters is that you like the coin.

    Hi Ken,
boy were you right. This Jefferson in hand is full of pastels on both sides when tilted. Hairline free and no carbon. Very clean - and I'm very happy image
