Bucs Falcons Round 1 - It's on JS!

The Bucs look like they’ve found their stride the last few weeks. Today’s win over the Chiefs is one of their best offensive performances in years. Sunday, they play division rival Falcons, and have confidence that they can win this game. A win here would put them closer to the Falcons and give them a strong-hold on second place as the Saints and Panthers appear dead.

The Falcons have been inconsistent too, but have also hit their stride going into their “bye” week after pummeling a good Denver team AT Denver. The Falcons have confidence as well as they beat the Bucs the last time they played them. A Falcons win would almost ensure a divisional conference win.

The Falcons have done about the same at home and on the road; furthermore, the Bucs have played well in domes by defeating the Aints and playing the Rams well. I don’t see home-field much of an advantage, but the Falcons are the better team. The Falcons stop the run very well, but the Bucs defense will force Vick turnovers hence points. However, they’ll settle for a lot of field goals and the Falcons win 24-22.

Care to “signature” wager on this JS?

You don't post a lot and have less to lose but I guess we can come up with something! I hope your O line
    gets it together quick!

What the word on Duckett? He looked good against us last year.

falcons win this easy! i will call it my play of the year! 2 tuff road games at kc and denver. get blown out at kc go to denver to prove that game was a fraud! they will come home and take the bucs behind the wood shed and spank them!

Brian this is an easy bet depending on the spread. take falcons money line for sure.
  • This will be a great game, hope it is on tv here...

  • I'm not sure about Duckett. I'm curious to see what they've been cooking up in their off-week, and I will admit that I believe the game will be closer than I thought a few weeks ago. But I think the Falcons will find a way to win. If I recall correctly, they went up big last game, but the Bucs came back, but it was too little too late. I think something similar this year too. I'd classify the Falcons as a first half team and the Bucs as a second half team. If the Falcons establish an early lead they'll hold off a late Buc surge.

The bucs have absolutely owned vick and the falcons...they are 6-1 career against the falcan'ts with vick at the helm.

The fast bucs defense is the perfect antidote to vick's unpredicatbility, as he's been kept in check when they have played. The Bucs are playing with confidence now, with 2 straight wins going into this.

KC shredded Atlanta's D, while the birds were only able to hang 10 on the chiefs. Tampa ran their offense at will today, and will do the same to the vickies next sunday.
  • Big win for the Falcons as they now have a huge NFC South lead!

Don't call it a comeback ... I never left! Now let's check the rest of your message.

1st - the Bucs winning - what are they winning? they are 3-6 that's almost as bad as the Dolphins
2nd - the Canes sucking - correct me if I'm wrong, the Canes beat your Noles and if they win the next two games they win the ACC

Kevin, what's the color of the sky in your world?
  • JS, my sources tell me the Bucs are slightly favored (by 2 points) in week 13 at TB against the Falcons. This should be a good one!

We can't overlook Carolina, but Im foaming at the mouth for a chance for payback against Vick and Co. I hope this
time the refs aren't throwing laundry on the field anytime someone breaths on Vick. Raymond James will
be rocking in a few weeks. I can't wait.
