Question on 1972 P D/D Lincoln cents

Question for the Lincoln Cent collectors.

When PCGS certs the 1972 D/D obv cent, Do they only
cert the 1st die pair, or other die pairs??

    The "big" doubled die, Die #1, has a coin number and can be submitted like any other coin. The other less dramatic doubled dies for the date can be submitted under the Mint Error service and will say 'Mint Error' on the holder. There's a good thread on this very subject right now over in the U.S. Coins Forum.
