  • The owner of the contract lives about 10 miles from here (in R.I.) and is always in the news for his charitable work.

from looking at the high bidders feedback, he doesn't exactly seem like the type that has $1million+ to drop on a piece of sports memorabilia..

Agree PA...the top bidder has some negs on his feedback. He has sold some CDs and a $0.1 cent Sox cup recently. Also, the underbidder has been selling earthworms on EBAY for $3 lately...these guys are millionaires??

image Priceless one-liner in regards to the nickel and dime morons who have the big bids in on this item.

Hopefully a REAL bidder will show up at some point.
The charity will get the money, and the guy who wins it will donate it to the Hall of Fame.

Those high bideers are probably all hijacked ebay id's. Wait till the guy finds out someone used his id to bid a million dollars. Oh boy !

Judging from the early bid patterns, my guess is the reserve was $100,000 or just a hair over the original cost from 1993. The rest is cake - surely there's got to be one legitimate bidder in the bunch!!image

i noticed a few persons that just kept bidding and bidding ( like they just had to be high bidder for a moment) if I was really wanting to own that pc of americana i surely would have bidded 1x at the end. look fdor a slew of retractions soon.
    Good for you.
  • To me ebay isnt the place for that kind of item. Surely Mastro would love to have it and there you would only get real offers and nothing from als worm store. Also after the ebay fees and Paypal fees the guy will probably only end up with $150.
