This $20 is a 1873 open 3 slabbed by PCGS as MS60. The liberty is strongly and clearly doubled. Are there any $20 collectors out there with any infor? Thanks Steve

The Philly 73' open "3" is the more common variety. The closed "3" is a seldom seen critter and does trade for a premium over the open 3.
The prices for each are fairly close until you move up to the AU and better. There are around 10 times as many of the open 3's graded than the closed 3.
It's just the opposite for the 73-S. The open "3" is more scarce than the closed.
At least that is how I remember it?
Don't know about the double die.
