Question about suspended ebay accounts

I had an ebay user tell me his account was suspended because he did not update his phone #. Does this sound correct.Any help is appreciated.

Contact info is vital to all ebay users - if the contact info is inaccurate, it can result in suspension.

Yes and no - if an Ebay member attempts to contact you (due to a successful buy or sell), and your phone number is not up to date on their "member contact" page, ebay WILL suspend your account UNTIL it is updated, and can be verified by ebay.....now if he meant that his account was "terminated" then he is mistaken.

i changed my number several months ago.. i immediately updated it here..

but ebay still sends my OLD phone number to people when they request contact info.. so in my case, eBay is lagging behind, and they better not ever suspend my account for that reason..

Thanks for the help guys.Without going in to a long story.The winning bidder on a higher dollar card paypaled me immediately after an auction with an unconfirmed address status.His ebay contact info name and address is different from the paypal name and address. The next day he was No longer a registred user on ebay.Sent him numerous emails with my phone number and I also have decieded to not accept the paypal funds. I just dont feel comfortable with the transaction.He did email stating his phone number is the reason he is no longer a registred user.I wasnt sure if ebay would NARU someone for that or not.Meanwhile he says he has updated but his staus is still NARUd

This is true, also if you don't have your current updated creditcard on file you'll also get suspended for 30 days, it's happened to me. Check your creditcard expiration date and update it. If you don't and ebay trys to collect their fees due, your account will be suspended.
