Hi All!!! I've reached my 200th post and wanted to have a "Giveaway". I joined this board to learn about coin collecting and see the fantastic coin pictures everyone post's here! You can't find a better forum than this one for this!!!!!!!!! In hindsite, I wish I would have joined BEFORE I bought my first coins! I bought coins before doing my homework about TPG's, coin grading, ebay, shill bidding, ebay feedback (Private?), and what strike, luster, bag marks, et al, meant. Shame on me for that So how did this hurt me you ask? How's this for a newby's first buy: Ebay Seller said (Won't mention seller by name but most will recognize them), "Certified Proof Eagle Collection ~ $34,450 ~ No Reserve. Pristine Certified Rare Twelve Coin Proof Silver Eagle Set All Graded Deep-Cam PR-70!! Auction Value $34,450. PCGS/NGC/ANACS Certified? Not hardly!!!! I won't mention who certified them, don't want to hurt anyones feelings. Now they are beautiful coins but most definately not worth what I paid. I'm too embarrassed to say how much I paid so please don't ask let's just say I think some shill bidding was going on and mentioned this to ebay customer service. Didn't help me though. So all newby's reading this, PLEASE, PLEASE do your homework before spending your hard earned money. Whether your "Lurking" or "posting" read and learn BEFORE you buy.
I want to thank all the board members who have helped me so far. I won't mention any names because I'm afraid to leave anyone out. THANK YOU!!!! I also want to thank the folks who blasted me on the occasions that I needed it. That's how we learn also!!! THANK YOU
Here are the items that I would like the forum to decide the winner receives:
1. 1955 Mint Set
2. 1957 Proof Set
3. 1961 Proof Set
4. 1964 Proof Set
5. 1970 Mint Set
6. 1978 Proof Set
These are all nice set's. I have no clue how to identify a Cameo coin yet so not sure on that. I just know there all in the mint packaging.
Everyone can vote all day today, Saturday, till Midnight. How do you win: Just post what you think the winner should receive. Sunday morning I will tally the votes and decide who win's. Can't get any easier than that.
I want to close by saying Thanks Again and do your Homework!!!! Lee

Nice giveaway! I would say the 1955 Mint set - I had one and was forced to sell it during "tough times" - man do I miss that set! My only "coin regret".
Best and thanks

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
