Does anyone know what this is? Please Help the newbie.

Here's the 'scans'.....I know one of you wizards have a value/grade/whatever/opinion/etc. for me. The colorized thing has me stumped though.

What it was is a Sacajawea dollar. What it is now is a Sacajawea dollar with post-Mint alteration which the "artist" hopes will lead you spend beaucoup more dollars for damaged goods (numismatically speaking).

    rfogg,

Don't let the "Wizards" scare you. Welcome to the forums and I am glad you have found a sincere interest in numismatics.

I wish more would be like you and ask questions as to find out about coins like this.

This is a "colorized" Sacagewea golden dollar. It is worth no more than it's government issue face value of $1.00.

Some organization or company made this in hopes to sell a $1 coin for more than what it's worth. It is generally frowned upon in the knowledgable numismatic community.
