Home PCGS Set Registry Forum

EITHER: a) I'm missing something, b) someone is playing games w/the prices, c) someone is REALLY dum

But even IF an FS-033, the price is a little high LINK

MORE ridiculousness (NO - I'm NOT sure that's a word image ) - and this isn't even the nicer of the 2 - from Heritage

Can an FS-32 fill the hole in the Registry Set? I was under the impression that the Registry only counted the FS-33. But this makes me wonder.

Thanks. I have a 32 I could put in my set, but I've been waiting on the 33.

Very interesting on the auctions. I have several 32's which I paid very little money for. I also have a 33 that is raw and 62-63'ish that I paid about $150 for.

I recently bought this: and thought it was something it's not!

I thought I was getting a screaming deal on a 1972/72 but when the Lincoln arrived I see strong doubling everywhere but the date! That's what I wanted.

I learned PCGS will holder the "wanna-be, lesser than" Doubled Dies.

    I've learned my lesson! image

Yes . . . the words "mint error" on a slab should tighten your sphincter everytime.

    Pat,

You really oughta shoulda've done your HOMEWORK imageimageimageimage

    Doug,

It is a somewhat interesting anomoly that ever since PCGS "split" the '71-S DDO (FS-032 & FS-033) & the '60 Large/Small (FS-023 & FS-025) into 2 separate coin numbers, they have continued to allow EITHER of the '71'S's into the registry set (but still not the FS-033.1) but have now disallowed the FS-023 which is the one they designate as the tripled die obverse. Until the split, they slabbed BOTH the '60's as L/S (& FS-024 as the S/L). image

Whoever Voted That "I'm Missing Something",

    Please tell me what image
  • The pic looks to be an 032

    Brian,

I KNOW the pic shows an FS-032. That's the whole point. Now 3 have voted I'm missing something (or were they voting that THEY were missing something image ) but NONE have told me what. image

If I knewwhat I was missing, I wouldn't have checked that box! image

I can't believe someone would pay that for a 32. Maybe I should take offers on the NGC PR68CAM I have?
