Bulk common submission just done in a week!

Wow was I suprised to get this e-mail so quickly. I mailed a 45 day vintage common order last week and it is already on the way back to me. The grades weren't too bad either (563257, zip 48067), although I was expecting a couple more 9's on some on the 60's stuff. 5 rejected is a killer, but getting three 7's and a bunch of 6's on Venezuelan's easily makes up for it.

I wonder if PSA is short on work lately? I'm going to fix up my special for November and get it off this week and see if they are as quick on it.

Pretty good. After reading that a 1969 Cleon Jones PSA 9 went for $1625, I hope you are able to make good use of your 9s. And were the Venezulean Retirados all just beat up at the factory, or are there actually nice ones around? The best one I've seen is a 5 in my admittedly limited experience.
    WANTED:
2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

    Nothing on ebay

Wow... that's crazy for a 69 common, even if it is the only one graded 9. Unfortunately, my 9's have higher pop's. One is a 6, another an 8, Sparky Lyle is a 11 and the 67 Cubs Rookies is a 15, so I don't think the demand for them would be quite as high as a 1/1. I'll probably keep most of these cards anyways, I don't need the money at the moment and they are mostly very high end 8's because I only sent in well centered cards. Depending on how they look when I reexamine them, there's a chance I could resubmit all the high-end 8's and probably wind up with 4 or 5 more 9's, but then I would have $12 in grading fees invested into each card, so essentially I'd be getting killed on the ones that are regraded as 8's.

The Retirado's are very hard cards. The only one with this order came back a 2, which is all due to heavy tape residue on the front of the card. Without the tape stain, it's an easy 6. I may have been better off allowing them to use a qualifier, as the stain is evident, and seeing if I could get a 6 ST. I've got some other ones with similar residue, I'll send one of them in and allow the qualifiers and see what they grade it and then decide what to do with this one. Most of the Retirado's cannot be found any nicer than 5 or 6, the majority are 1-2 range. Same with the majority of Venezuelans actually... most are in terrible shape.
