Are you saying that you got the PR coin out of circulation? Also, why did you grade the current 1¢ pieces?, is it for a set? And are they for sale?
    Thanks!

I find it interesting that PCGS uses the proof-like (PL) designation for coins struck after 1980. According to Charlton, in 1981 the RCM improved the quality of coins in its Brilliant Uncirculated sets so that they are much better than proof-likes.

  • Here are some more Canadian grades,
the 2002 - P coins were taken out of change I bought back with me in 2002.
The Maple leaves were to top up the order.
I am surprised at the speed of the order. ( It was a modern submission )

It took 87 calander days for these grades.

I am building a modern set for myself, trying for 68 or higher in all denominations. No they are not for sale.

They were from Mint sets that I have acquired in the last 6-months. I expected 68-69 on everything so I am very happy with the grades. I am a little clueless on the 2004 Loon graded PR68CAM. I didn't think I had any proof coins, althouth I haven't seen these coins since July and really can't remember at this point!

The 2001 graded MS69RD also baffles me? I figured it would be called PL?

I think it took so long because these were probably the first varieties that they've seen from 2004. The "Moose" quarter was a limited edition coin that had a mintage of only 15 or 25k if I remember correctly. Oh well, it has worth the wait!!
