Bill Ripken PSA 10 '89 "White Out" Version??

Perhaps someone brighter than me can list a link that directly takes you to this eBay auction (# 5136070706), but it is a listing for the infamous Bill Ripken Fleer 1989 card #616 with the most common "black box" version. However, the PSA Flip describes the card as the "White Out" version which is by FAR, the most difficult version to find (and most notably doctored). How could have PSA made such an error?

    That is a very bad error. The difference in a $.05 card and a very valuable card.

    don't blame PSA for this. it was a mistake

    blame them for grading a terribly off centered (T/B) card as a 10

    Why is the seller describing the card as the whiteout version when it is obvious that it's not? I doubt anyone will be fooled, but I'm sure some will be turned off.

    I'm sure that the seller feels good that PSA was foolish enough to describe this card as the "Whiteout Version" on its flip. There is little doubt that some unsuspecting bidder will fall for this.......

    I am trying to collect a master set of 89 Fleer Bill Ripkens. 14 or so legit versions so far with a few questionable others. I have seen many incorrect grading labels for this card. GEM is real good at that. Since they do not authenticate you can send in whatever!!! Thats wrong. PSA has viven a PSA10 to at least 5 BBox and FF versions that are obviously off center. Interested in 89 FF contact me. Thanks
