never seen that one before, but my guess is it's at least medieval, if not ancient. Kind of unusual since most old coins of India
that i've seen don't have recognizable human figures on them

I'm assuming it's about 10-12mm and 3-3.5g.
From South-Eastern India, it looks like a bronze 2 Kasu minted under the Lords of Sivaganga from 1736-1801 A.D.
Obv.: Two deities (Siva and Parvati?) standing facing
Rev.: Lingam upon an altar.
Mitchiner 1228 ff.
