1972 topps baseball question

how's it going all? just curious if anyone has first hand experience in this set. i am looking for some for my player registries, and can not for the life of me figure out the centering. can somebody show me one with 50/50 centering? this is the only year i am having trouble with. when i look at them, i like for the edge and bottom to have the same amount of white, but that causes the name to hang down too far and leaves to much white area at the top. please, someone just show me a perfectly centered one and i can go from there. thanx to all in advance!! ERIC

  • This one seems pretty centered.

    CADILLAC,

I'm assuming that you mean centering from top to bottom. I had the same issue when I first started collecting the set.

If thats the case - then Dave's example is perfect. This is darn near 50/50 top to bottom. From side to side, its slightly askew and would probably be considered 55/45 left to right near the bottom.
