A good-looking Churchill on a coin?

churchill coin

I knew one day I'd find the real Winston Churchill on a coin or medal. Here he is and doesn't look bad. 'Course, I'm not sure it looks very much like him...image

  • Pretty neat, but I didn't think the French would have put anyone but another Frenchman on a coin. image

That's a much better rendition. Ironic that it was the French who would do it.

I also like the Churchill design on the 1974 Cook Islands $50 silver and the 1974 Cook Islands $100 gold.

A couple more Churchill coins would be the 1974 Turks & Caicos Islands 50 and 100 Crown gold coins. These look more like him.

Sir Winston would be spinning in his grave if he knew he was on a French coin!image
