Home PSA Set Registry Forum

I will keep this short and sweet

so I can make less typing or sppleing errors as possible. Ever since my thread about a horrible card in a PSA 10 holder and Joe Orlandos comments I have felt indiffrent about PSA and the Boards coming here is no longer fun. I since tossed the card did'nt want the hassle. So with that I will say Good bye i waited along time to make a rash and calm decision. I will complete my basic set and upgrade it when possible. I started it and want to give it a shot at all 9's and or 10's.

Would Bggsy give up so easily? If so, he would have retired in 1992.

I like Boggsy. We'll miss you, James. Even though your hero ate alot of chicken, Jim Morrison said that he ate, "more chicken than any man ever seen, yeah, yeah." Just thought I'd mention that.

Boggs has been on these boards longer than even Vargha.

Just take a break and come back later.

    James,
To each his own, but I don't see your reasoning to bail. I pm'ed you on that particular cert #'d card, what probably happened, and how to handle it. Not THAT big a deal: an inconvience maybe.........but

And so what if Joe comes on here and addresses the situation - you have the right to tune in or tune out what he says, just as he has the right to express his opinion. If you didn't like the way Joe presented it, take it for what it is; an opinion on a bleeping message board. And remember, everybody has a bleeping opinion that gets posted on these bleeping boards.

Don't know about you but I can think of a lot of other things to get upset about than a $12 boggs card and assorted bleeping opinions thereafter.

    BOTR
ps) for those not too familiar with the situation: No, I neither submitted said card nor sold said card to James, in case you're bleeping wondering.

    Boggs,
I always appeciate your posts because you're chasing a modern player set, as I am. If you need to, take a break, but don't disappear from the boards. You have too much knowledge to share.

  • I remember that thread....

Just take a break from the boards for awhile. Also, most people could care less about spelling or anything like that.

I'll look forward to seeing you back soon!

  • James,

I have become a little indifferent myself, but I'll continue posting here as I see fit. I will miss your posts. I have always enjoyed them, misspellings and all! Please feel free to email me at any time, for any reason.

    Your friend,

  • Boggsy,
Don't be ridiculous. You're not goin' anywhere. Cut the dramatics. You're a main-stay and one of the few guys who still has some venom. You got PO'd, sounded off and became frustrated. Understood. Now quit your bichin' and post photo's of your damn cards!!!
I normally wouldn't respond to a "Dear Joe" thread, but you're one of the good ones. It's a freakin' message board. If you want to pack up your cards and go home that's your business just don't put all the gum in your mouth at one time on the walk home.
Stick around and don't be a Dav,

  • i've been indifferent to these boards for a few weeks now.. and I believe they're indifferent towards most of us..

  • Boggsy- I know how you feel. I sometimes get frustrated with some of the PSA policies or with a particular issue. The bottom line is that you love your cards and this hobby. Take a break and join us again when you feel the passion. We'll be waiting.

James............Although I do not know you , I really enjoyed reading your posts about your main man - " Wade Bogggs" ! Your passion for collecting his cards always shows thru in your threads , and thats what I like about you , a true Baseball Card Collector who is not in it for the money , but rather for the love of collecting your favorite player ! Who will fill your shoes to inspire other collectors to enter the chase for all of Boggs cards ! There is not one collector on this board that has not been disappointed at one time or another about a submission or whatever ! Hope you reconsider and that we will see your Posts in the future !..................Robbie

I honestly dont know what to say. You guys floored me I was thinking a few might reply in a positive manner and many more would be rude. I thought I would wait a few days check back and see a thread gone bad. Most of the comments are dead on I truly do have a passion and dont care about the value of my collection. I want to thank every one that commented it means alot. It is just a message board but like Larry aka King Kellog said You are one of my very first "Registry" friends I too have made friends at this website. I will not leave but my presents will be Low key for a little while. And there are a few things at home which helped add to my stress level as of late. (work)

Great decision, James. Will be happy to have you here - even if you take a bit of a respite.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I think that I saw James heading to In-N-Out Burger last night after getting off his shift at 7-11 (or maybe it was Elvis . . . I'm not really sure).

Huh? Please elaborate. Am I missing the humor, or are you just taking a shot at James?
