In what year did Heritage start offering their catalogs on CD?

Does anyone know what year these have been offered? Does anyone have a list of the auctions that are available on CD? Also, is it possible to buy the CDs from prior year's auctions? Thanks.

I think they started doing it in 2002. At least that was the year I first recall seeing them.

I would like to know if it is possible to only get the CD version. They are much easier to store--though I guess when CDs become obsolete, they will be useless.

I sent an email (not addressed to anyone in particular) through Heritage's "questions" section of their website. I don't know if I will get a response. I like the paper catalogs for reference, but it would also be nice to have the CDs to review, etc. when I travel (I tend to fly a lot internationally, and iI don't like being weighed down with a ton of books in my carry-on).

  • I picked up what I believe was their first one in Indianapolis for their Central States Signature Sale in April of 2001. I have the CD sitting here next to me.

  • I have a small "collection" of these (I can never throw anything away). The earliest one that I can find is CSNS signature sale from May 4-5, 2000. Listed on the outside of the holder are instructions on how to "setup" and run the disc. System requirements were Windows 95 and IE 3.0.

Shoot an email to Mark Van Winkle; he'll know what catalogs have CD imprints.
