came from the same collection that had the price of a 2 1/2 Indian marked as $32.50

How many years does it take for coins to tone that way???

I have never seen anything like it.....the storage conditions for those books must have been pretty bad...moisture....heat......I don't know, but that's a first for me????

I had a few with toning like this but nowhere near as bold. I had them certified by PCGS and sold most on ebay. I really dought if those would holder at PCGS. mike

About six months ago I bought a partial set of Barber Halfs that looked like that. I got a pretty big kick out of it.

Personally, I would want franklins that have toned in a more traditional way- but I wonder if those wouldn't fetch a nice premium on ebay......

I've seen toning like that from time to time- the last one was newsprint. I've never seen it as bold as yours.

the toning caught my eye when I looked at the set, I think it's rather unique, a keeper for me.

As far as slabing goes, I first need to figure out what I have, don't know the first thing about Franklins.
