David Lawrence Rare Coins

Does this guy show up and post on this forum?

For about a week now I have been trying to access a pic of one of his half dimes and it always gives me and error. Wonder if he knows his pics aren't working. Then again could be my comp.

Anyone go here to buy stuff?

Just give them a call. I am sure they will email the pics to you. They are very nice to deal with.
  • Hi,
they are great to deal with - just call. They sold me all my dimes. I think I've read posts somewhere from them.

They're a good bunch of guys...I buy quite a bit from them (at least most of my key dates anyway ).
    Call them, they're very accommodating.

    dlrc rocks!
  • Yeah he posts here like people have said already and on rare occasions. Give them a call or e-mail them and they`ll help you in anyway they can. I`ve e-mailed them only a few times and they where pretty prompt when I did. That`s been my experience with them.

Great company, great service. Gave me 100% credit on an upgrade, and I had only bought the coin a couple months earlier.

I have not had problems with their images. Post a link and we'll let you know if it's your computer or a problem at DLRC.

Excellent people to deal with! I like DLRC a lot. If you go into the 'contact us' section you'll find the e mail address for everyone in DLRC. I've had quick responses from them the few times I've had any problem. Doug Hill is their tech guy image

I've bought several times from them, always nice coins and great service. No hassles.

The only problem I've ever had with them is they wouldn't give me a premium for a Cameo Proof Morgan in a PCGS holder I was selling...they only wanted to pay graysheet. I later sold the coin for 50% more than they were offering (2200 versus 1450)! So I'd say "Buy", but don't sell Cameo Proofs to them.

Sorry to vent, but that one pissed me off.
  • Purple73 - I tried the link and I`m getting the same problem. I had a similar problem about a year ago when I was tring to order. I e-mailed them about it and receiced a prompt reply. Things where able to be worked out within 24 hours.

Take 'beta' out of the URL. The list will pull up ok. You should then be able to click open any pic. Here is an example. I think that 'beta' is your problem.

For most series I highly recommend DLRC, but not for moderns. They are priced 10x market in most cases, seriously.

  • Hi,

They are horrible to deal with. Stay away from the kid named Jason and also there is another liar who works there by the name of Robinson. They are professional liars and will give you sight unseen quotes on certified coins and then back out when they get them. I had it happen twice with Robinson, and when he was on vacation, it was the child Jason who is also a professional liar.
I reported them both to the ANA. I asked to speak to Win Calender to resolve the problem, but they put me on hold for twenty minutes and nobody ever got to me. Becareful when they quote you for certified coins sight unseen on the phone, professional liars.

Lets make it three people that have had bad selling experiences with them. Basically it was the same thing that happened with Wingedliberty. Also I had to eat the postage both ways when they clearly state that they will pick up that tab if the offer is rejected by myself.

Even with that happening I will not sit here and call them Pro Liars. Maybe they had a bad day. Now I only buy from them and never give them a second thought if something is for sale or trade in. I can do better with the coin at another place for sure.

My main beef was that nobody bothered to call me back, they just said NOT interested after giving me a quote on PCGS and NGC coins sightunseen. The coins were not DOGS!. They were duplicates in my collection.
And the character Win Calender never called me back as promised. They did pay for the postage back though.

image... blew that one. They did pay the postage back but at the time they said if the offer was refused they would pay the postage to and from. It was fairly hefty because $3500 worth of Mercs was sent.

and they advertise profuesly in Coin World that they are strong buyers and want coins. What bunch of horse maneur!!!!!!!!!!
If Fairlane man sent them $3500 worth of Mercs, they were at least average if not PQ. I've bought his duplicates before and they were all PQ, so they got at least average. Do they expect ALL 16D's????
I think their buy ads in Coin World are a bunch of horse crap.
I sent them a 16D Merc in PCGS AG3, A 1906 Indian in NGC-MS65RB, and a modern PCGS Kennedies in PR69DCAM. Robinson said he was interested in all of them and gave me quotes on the phone, and then after two weeks sitting on his desk, NO thank!!. Bunch of crap!
  • My experience mostly is on semi-key date Morgans. They were quick to pay exactly what they said. On Dup. moderns they offered 50% of what I paid them and I ended up getting 25% more than I paid at Heritage. On the buy side, 3 of 4 NGC Morgans I purchased, crossed from NGC to PCGS and went from MS-63 to MS-64 for my registry set. John has always been helpfull. For what its worth, I've noticed a lot of dealers short on time lately.
