I'm unimpressed. His images are poor and he only shows the obverse of each item for sale. I would not buy from him unless
I have had previous good experiences with this seller.

...not a good trait for coin dealers on ebay
I have had previous good experiences with this seller.">>
And just how do you have a previous good experience if you don't buy from him?
My EBay Store/Auctions
I've purchased from him several times. It appears he breaks up alot of proof and mint sets (from what I have received). I assume he submits the best and sells what remains. I have not been unhappy with my purchases and the competition for his items has become much stronger in the past 4 or 5 months.
My biggest beef (which I guess is rather trivial)... ignore his text about leaving him feedback at the bottom of his auctions. I have found that he very seldom leaves any feedback... it's almost like he is too busy to bother.
Do a search of the forums and you will find other threads relating to this seller. Also try "eagle.eye.eddie" in the search. He has been discussed here before.

I am also very unimpressed with all his hype and rolls and stories and would keep walking (or clicking...) right on by. I tried looking for a reason to want to buy from him and can't find a (good) one. Everything is Gem BU+++ "MS66 or better"....stock photos. Why bother with raw coins on eBay (generally)? Selling "Full Steps" Jeffersons without even showing the Reverse? What does this tell me about his estimation of me as a consumer? What does that tell you? And I see nothing about a return policy - are you supposed to ask? What if you don't? His feeeback (which I still think actually means very little) seems to be mostly novices and repeat customers buying $3.50 Proof moderns etc., assuming I believe there are no shills among those bidders who won 20 auctions consecutively. (NO BTW, I did not just slam moderns...) I only looked quickly at his feedback as my interest just wanted after the 65th "MS66 or better GEM BU+++ Blast Cherry etc. etc. etc." I have never had to hype an auction like that - especially one starting for 1 penny.
Best,
Billy

Here is a bit more information if it will help...
My grandfather was born in 1900...He and his extended family lost everything
in the stock market crash of 1929...As a Colonel in WWII, he was able to save
quite a few $$$, since all of his expenses were paid by the US government....
Not trusting in the stock market, all of expendable cash went into original BU rolls
of coins....I sold a number of the more expensive rolls to help pay for college a
number of years ago...
Two years ago, I began listing singles from the remaining rolls on E-Bay...I have really
enjoyed getting back into the hobby that I loved as a kid, and have met some great
people in the process...I have taken a lot of the proceeds and reinvested in
nice original rolls when I am able to find them...I do have a lot of the original hoard
left, but am now supplementing it with these recently purchased rolls....This is a hobby for me as
I am a mathematics instructor as a profession...
I do pride myself on picking out the best coins to send out to my customers, always
offering a 10-day money back guarentee, no questions asked...Many customers have
had these slabbed with very good results....I have had a few rolls slabbed by PCGS with
great results, but I was extremeley dissapointed with the customer service and to be honest
it wasn't fun.
I still collect and am putting together raw collections of Morgans, Mercury Dimes, Lincolns, Jefferson
Nickels, Buffalo Nickels, etc...I choose coins for these albums that I find attractive, which may many
times, not be the scientifically highest grade coin I have for the grade....This is why I sell raw coins
and why you will see many happy customers comments in my feedback as it is getting very difficult
to find truly raw gems....
Thanks for the interest and best of luck in your collecting!
