My First Large Cent

I have never been a copper collector ... mainly because of the RD, RB, BN thing. The RD designation is fairly self-explanatory, as is the BN. It's that RB in the middle that confuses me. Then again ... a lot of things confuse me in our hobby!
I know -- before the flaming starts -- it's like anything else. All it takes is careful study, analysis, and attention to detail. My basic premise is simply to collect what I like … not to try and become an expert on any given series.
That said … here is the coin. It’s in a PCGS MS65RB slab. I like it. What do you large cent experts think? Did I do good?
Edited to add larger pics. Sorry but my scanner doesn't do justice to this coin. Most of the scratches are on the holder

I think that you did well. Looks closer to RD than RB, which is a good thing. It also doesn't have that "pink" look that doctored copper has. Nice coin. Welcome to the wonderful world of early copper.

Small pic but looks great! I'm in much the same boat as you. I never gave any attention to large cents until recently. Now I have two!
