The seller canceled all bids and ended the auction.

Anyone get any more responses from this guy before he ended it ?

Doug,

I sent two violation reports to ebay, I have not got a response from them. I will send a note to the seller to explain the simple way to determine it is not an 1801 is from the large reverse stars. The coin should be destroyed, or at least a big hole should be drilled through the altered date. But I expect he will sell it anyway. For the dollar amount involved, it should be a criminal offense.
