I read in another thread people dislike McCarver's commentary but does anyone wish that Joe Buck would just shut the hell up sometimes? No wonder McCarver is reduced to 'stating the obvious'; he can't get his comments in. He's not the old chip off the block and I guess that's why he doesn't do the Cardinal's broadcasts here in St. Louis anymore. Whatever happened to the Vin Scullys, Joe Garagiolas, Joe Morgans...?
