Here is one of the tokens I received in yesterdays mail. A Cornwall D&H 2. This is a proof token owned by the Matthew Boulton family. Came with a letter of provenance.

He's not picked clean yet, I just bought two more proofs from him last night. Called him up and we chatted for an hour and a half about the Boulton family holdings. And we discussed how the shells were made. They seem to be a combination of pressing and some other work, they are custom fitted to the tokens and medals and they seem to have been produced around 1819.

A proof Warwickshire 389, part of a partial roll of tokens from the Matthew Boulton holdings (Roll had 9 proof 389's, a Hampshire 89, three Hertfordshire 4's, and one counterfeit Warwickshire Wilkinson piece.) And a proof Lanarkshire 2, also from the Boulton holdings, one of a group of nine pieces. The Lanarkshire pieces had come out of the Boulton holdings last year. They are not part of the most recent group that the family has turned loose of. They were offered to the dealer a couple weeks ago (he had passed on them last year) as two lots, one of four and one of five pieces. This will make three Boulton pieces that I have.

Cool pieces. I now have 2 Boulton pieces. The Hert's 4 and the George III Death Medal.
