Wow, I've seem some oddball things, just to think this came from an original roll. An original roll of what?
Prost!
Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

Hmmmm. Looks like one of those "do-it-yourself DCAM jobs". Look at the reverse. It looks like someone artificially frosted the eagle and the wreath. Don't see any mirrors either. Also, not a 65, imho, even without the spray-on CAM stuff. On a positive note, this coin may have been a part of an "original roll", but not recently. LOL. It's up to $5.50, so it's not fooling many people.....so far.

This guy isn't very good at doctoring,
You are right. Look at the obverse. His paint is over-sprayed into the field. Geeesh. Talk about an "Earl Scheib" paint job!

What happened to them? I remember him on TV commercials when I was a kid. "I'll paint any car for $29.95". Now that you mention it, this guy must have worked for them.

I think ole' Earl has passed on, but the franchise is still operating I think. Only now a famous Earl Scheib paint job will cost you $99.95 (inflation, ya know?). I don't know about their quality now, but when I was a kid, you could always tell if a car was "Scheibed" by the overspray on the wind shields and the wheels, etc. They would basically spray the whole car and if you didn't have it masked well, then you were out of luck. As I recall, for the special price, you had to do all of the prep work (masking, prime, etc.).
