Second Chance Offer Scam on EBay??

badgerbadger Posts: 1,217 ✭✭✭
I just had a second chance offer on a 1960 Small Date Proof 68Dcam Lincoln. Only issue is that the account offering the second chance didn't sound familiar. Also, $1000 for the Lincoln seems too good to be true (these are going for $2-3k). I sent a note to buddyseven who offered the coin originally and he confirmed that the coin was sold.

The second chance offer asks for shipping details with the expression of interest. Then you get an official looking email with Ebay logos asking for the money to go to the UK via Western Union. Your shipping address is included. They won't accept Paypal.

I sent the info to Ebay security. Let's see where this ends up.

Take care with these 2nd chance offers.
The ONLY 2nd chance offers I ever responded to, were those offered by DHRC; when they were eBay active..image
