From Liketa Trimalot, president of Pro-Grading,

Actually this lot is quite valuable. We at Pro-Grading believe that borders are ugly. The less white border the better. Therefore the better a card is trimmed, the less ugly white border, the more valuable and higher the grade. We at Pro-Grading stand behind our cards as the finest trimmed cards that money can buy. We actually are offering a new trimming service whereby for a fee, we will be happy to trim your cards for you.

    Trimming fees listed below:

Standard Trim $1 per card - slightly trimmed
Premium Trim $2 per card - half the border removed
Deluxe Trim $3 per card - 3/4 of the border removed
Super Trim $5 per card - all of the border removed

Our motto is that the only good border on a card, is no border at all. We guarantee complete satisfaction with our trimming services or send the cards back for a full retrim.

    Hilarious !!!

Do you think PRO cares anything about their reputation with card collectors? Don't they realize their pitiful service will eventually be their undoing. I assume they are trying to run a viable business, if not why else would they bother. Just doesn't make a lot of sense.

In the 50's, a lot of those pre-'57's got trimmed so they could stack easily with the post-'57's. I must admit I never did that...image
